Liverpool kick-off their 2007/2008 Premiership campaign with a trip to Villa Park against Aston Villa. The likes of record signing Fernando Torres, Ryan Babel and Yossi Benayoun could make their Reds debuts at Villa Park. Last season in the Premiership Liverpool beat Villa 3-1 at Anfield but the match at Villa Park ended in a rather drab goalless draw. Villa’s major signings of the summer has been West Ham pair Nigel Reo-Coker and Marlon Harewood, while former Liverpool ace Patrik Berger has been in fine form during pre-season for Martin O’Neill’s side.
