Liverpool face Portsmouth in the final of the Barclays Asia Trophy in Hong Kong. Harry Redknapp’s side beat Fulham 1-0 thanks to a goal from Benjani in their semi-final on Tuesday, while Liverpool saw off the challenge of local side South China 3-1. Pompey have a couple of former Liverpool old boys in their squad in goalkeeper David James and left back Djimi Traore. They also have a new striker for the new season in England international David Nugent who Redknapp brought in from Preston. Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres could return for Liverpool in the game after sitting out Tuesday’s match.
